Our clinicians are committed to offering continual support for our clients and community during this time of physical distancing as a result of COVID-19. We will meet with clients online only in response to the public health advisory to slow the pandemic and to the recommendation by our registration board. Online counselling has been established to be a reasonable alternate service option to in-person counselling in some cases. If you are new to our office, please provide your phone number clearly so that our office can talk to you on the phone directly and understand your needs before booking your first appointment.
The platform we use is Doxy.me, a video platform that is end to end encrypted, and therefore HIPAA and PIPEDA compliant. That means, Doxy.me does not store client health information. Your health information and online privacy is protected.
Nearing your appointment time, our office will send you a link. All you need to do is clicking into the link. There is no need for any download. To ensure a successful online experience, Doxy.me requires your device to be less than 5 years old and using either Firefox or Chrome to access the link sent to you.
Lastly, to protect your own privacy and confidentiality, please make sure you have a private space for the online session, an access to a secure password protected Wifi, and use of a headphone.
